Cooking Vinyl (Labelcode LC 07180) ist ein britisches Independent-Label mit Sitz in London. Das Label wurde 1986 von Martin Goldschmidt und Pete Lawrence gegründet.[2][3] Im Juni 2025 wurde Cooking Vinyl von Exceleration Music Partners, LLC übernommen.[4]

Cooking Vinyl gehört zur Cooking Vinyl Group, wozu auch der Händler- und Marketingdienstleister Essential Music & Marketing und das Verlagsunternehmen Cooking Vinyl Music gehören.[5] 2004 wurde das Sublabel Hot Pot Music gegründet. 2013 wurde in Melbourne die Cooking Vinyl Australia von zwei ehemaligen Shock Records Mitarbeitern eröffnet. Cooking Vinyl Australia hat eine Partnerschaft mit PledgeMusic.[3] Distributoren sind in Kanada eOne Music, in Australien Caroline und in den USA RED Distribution.[6]

Das Label hatte bereits Musiker und Bands wie Adam Cohen, Alison Moyet, Amanda Palmer, Billy Bragg, City and Colour, Counting Crows, Embrace, Fantastic Negrito, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Grand Duchy, Groove Armada, Hayseed Dixie, Howling Bells, James, James Skelly & The Intenders, John Wheeler, Lewis Watson, Madness, Marilyn Manson, Ny, Ocean Colour Scene, Reverend and the Makers, Roll Deep, Ron Sexsmith, Royksopp, Seether, Seth Lakeman, Skindred, Suzanne Vega, The Blackout, The Bluetones, The Charlatans, The Cranberries, The Cult, The D.O.T., The Enemy, The Nightingales, The Orb, The Pigeon Detectives, The Pretty Reckless, The Proclaimers, The Prodigy, The Rifles, The Subways, The View, The Virginmarys, thenewno2, Turin Brakes und Underworld unter Vertrag.[7][5]
