Aphexia ist ein deutsches Projekt für elektronische Musik von Ophelia The Suffering aus Hamburg.^[1]

Ophelia The Suffering ist seit 2010 mit Ecstasphere aktiv. Am 12. März 2013 veröffentlichte Supersimmetria das zweite Album "Golden Ratio". Aphexia war daran mit einem Remix beteiligt.^[2] Am 25. Januar 2015 veröffentlichten die beiden Projekte Ecstasphere und Aphexia von Ophelia The Suffering das Album "Klangporträts I+II". Am 13. September 2015 veröffentlichte Aphexia das Debütalbum "Breathe" beim Label Raumklang Music.^[3]

Im Dezember 2015 wurde die Kompilation "Snowflakes VI" veröffentlicht. Aphexia ist darauf mit dem Titel "The Embrace" vertreten.^[4] Am 18. Oktober 2016 folgte das zweite Album von Ecstasphere und Aphexia namens "Klangporträts III". Am 9. Januar 2017 veröffentlichte Āleph (Armando Alibrandi) das Debütalbum "Coiled". Aphexia war daran mit einem Remix beteiligt.^[5] Am 15. Mai 2017 folgte das zweite Album von Aphexia mit dem Titel "The Gates". Im Oktober 2017 trat Aphexia beim Maschinenfest in der Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen auf. Am 18. April 2021 erschien mit "Interdependence" das nächste Album. Es wurde bereits 2019 geschrieben und produziert.^[6]
