Maiah Wynne (* 22. Dezember 1996 in Colorado) ist eine US-amerikanische Singer-Songwriterin, Multiinstumentalistin und Schauspielerin aus Portland im Bundesstaat Oregon. Sie spielt 10 Instrumente.^[1]

Leben

Maiah Wynne wurde im US-Bundesstaat Colorado geboren. In ihren jungen Jahren zog die Familie nach Spokane. Während ihrer High School-Zeit zog die Familie nach Missoula im US-Bundesstaat Montana, wo Maiah Wynne die Hellgate High School besuchte. Hier entdeckte sie das Portland Cello Project, die in der Top Hat Lounge auftraten.^[2]

2016 veröffentlichte Wynne die EP "Light and Shadows" mit 10 Titeln. Die EP ist eine Zusammenstellung von Songs, die Wynne für verschiedene Spielfilme, Kurzfilme und Dokumentationen geschrieben hat. Ebenfalls 2016 trat sie mehrfach beim Sundance Film Festival auf.^[3] Maiah Wynne veröffentlicht seit 2016 vorwiegend Singles, sie ist auch auf Kompilationen vertreten. Mit dem Titel "Devil in Disguise" ist sie auf der Kompilation "Missoula to Memphis" aus dem Jahr 2018 vertreten.^[4] Ihr Titel "A Siren's Song" ist der Starttitel der Kompilation "Ukulele Sirens: Songs for the Sea", die ebenfalls 2018 veröffentlicht wurde.^[5] Alle Erlöse des Albums werden an gemeinnützige Umweltorganisationen gespendet.^[6] Mit dem Titel "Fly Away" ist sie auf der kanadischen Kompilation "For Home Vol. 1" vertreten. Diese wurde am 28. April 2020 veröffentlicht.^[7] Am 25. Juni 2020 erschien ihr Album "Songs from Lucy Gray Baird". Am 4. Februar 2022 folgte das Album "Songs from Lucy Gray Volume 4". Für die Zukunft ist das Album "Out of the Dark" geplant. Maiah Wynne bezeichnet es selber als ihr selbstproduziertes Debütalbum. Die erste Single daraus wurde mit "Come On" bereits veröffentlicht.^[8]

Maiah Wynne war als Schauspielerin oder Statistin in den Filmen "End Game - Tödliche Abrechnung" (2006), "Coming Through the Rye" (2015), "Dead 7" (2016), "Loon" (2017) und in einer Folge der Fernsehserie "The Quest - Die Serie" zu sehen.
