Blind Pilot ist eine US-amerikanische Pop-Rock-Band aus Portland, Oregon. Die Band wurde 2005 gegründet.

Bandgeschichte

Die Band bestand ursprünglich aus dem Sänger und Gitarristen Israel Nebeker und dem Schlagzeuger Ryan Dobrowski. 2006 ging das Duo für drei Monate nach Astoria, Oregon, um Aufnahmen für ein Album vorzunehmen.[1] Anschließend tourte das Duo mit Fahrrädern[2] mit über zwei Dutzend Stationen[3] von Vancouver bis San Francisco. Dabei verkauften sie ihre EPs. Nach der Rückkehr beendeten sie die Aufnahmen für das erste Album. Im Juni 2008 wurde das Debütalbum "3 Rounds and a Sound" über Expunged Records veröffentlicht.[1] Im Juli 2008 wählte Apple Blind Pilot als "Single der Woche" aus, wodurch das Album die iTunes-Downloadcharts bis auf Platz 6 hochkletterte.[2]
