Howe Gelb

Howe Gelb (* 22. OktoberReferenzfehler: Für ein <ref>-Tag fehlt ein schließendes </ref>-Tag. Im Jahr 1985 wurde das Banddebütalbum "Valley Of Rain" dann unter dem neuen Namen "Giant Sand" veröffentlicht. Seitdem hat die Band bis Ende 2013 bereits 27 Studioalben veröffentlicht.^[1]

In der Band "Giant Sand" sind auch Gelbs Ex-Frau Paula Jean Brown^[2] (früher auch bei der 1978 gegründeten US-amerikanischen Rockband The Go-Go's aktiv) und die gemeinsame Tochter Indiosa Patsy Jean Gelb aktiv. Neben vielen Bandveröffentlichungen spielt Howe Gelb Solo und spielte in den Bands/Projekten "The Band of Blacky Ranchette", "OP8", "Arizona Amp And Alternator" und "Melted Wires". Ebenso brachte er bis Ende 2013 bereits 16 Soloalben heraus.

Howe Gelbs jüngerer Bruder Rick ist ebenfalls Musiker. Howe Gelb lebt mit seiner Frau Sofie Albertsen Gelb^[2], die ebenfalls Musikerin ist, und seinen Kindern in Barrio Santa Rosa, Tucson, Arizona.^[1]
